Playmates in the Wild

Stuart Brown describes Norbert Rosing's striking images of a wild polar bear playing with sled dogs in the wilds of Canada's Hudson Bay.

The photographer was sure that he was going to see the end of his huskies when the polar bear materialized out of the blue, as it were...

Obviously it was a well-fed Bear...

The Polar Bear returned every night that week to play with the dogs...

Firstly, mik is right.
There is no basis to assume that because a bear
didn't maul some dogs that there is hope for world peace, of all
species, races, and cultures.
Secondly, all creatures act solely on instinct, because instinct is just a natural inborn
patter...

to the very limited extent that the term "instinct" means ANYTHING AT
ALL, it means "processes we do not understand and have not condescended to
study". the term is emotionally loaded bullshit, and any argument hanging

Instinct means a set pattern of behaviors that an animal is born with. It is a
result of natural selection favoring those that react best to the environment.
Yes they exist and yes we do understand what they are. Example: A baby crying
when it is hungry is instinctive.

the animals have instinc and a very little brain, man has insticed but a very
large brain. animals know and learn very little. Man knows a lot and keeps
learning, BUT the animal does not know Greed, Jeolosy, lust, anger, malase,
